Welcome to PlayerAnalytics, LLC, an Ohio limited liability company ("PlayerAnalytics," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the PlayerAnalytics website at playeranalytics.org, the PlayerAnalytics dashboard, our Discord bot, our Rust server plugin, our API, and any other services, software, or content provided by us (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using the Service, by installing our Rust server plugin, by adding our Discord bot to a server, or by creating an account, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use the Service with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian. By using the Service you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements and that you are not barred from using the Service under any applicable law.

PlayerAnalytics is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have done so, we will delete that information.

2. Description of the Service

PlayerAnalytics provides analytics, leaderboards, engagement tooling, and Discord integrations for Rust game servers, including (without limitation):

We may add, modify, or remove features at any time. Some features are available only on paid plans (see Section 5).

3. Accounts

3.1 Creating an Account

Some parts of the Service require an account. You may sign in with email/password or by linking a third-party identity provider (such as Steam or Discord). You agree to provide accurate and current information and to keep it up to date.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@playeranalytics.org if you suspect any unauthorized use. We are not liable for any loss arising from your failure to keep your credentials secure.

3.3 Owner vs. Member Accounts

PlayerAnalytics distinguishes between server owners (who connect a Rust server to the Service and are responsible for billing) and members (who are invited by an owner to view that server's data). Members inherit access from the owner and are not separately billed. Owners are responsible for the conduct of members they invite and may revoke member access at any time.

3.4 One Account Per Person

You may not maintain multiple accounts for the purpose of evading bans, trial limits, or per-server billing. We may suspend duplicate accounts at our discretion.

4. Server Owner Responsibilities

If you connect a Rust server to PlayerAnalytics, you represent and warrant that:

  1. You own or have the right to operate that server and to install the PlayerAnalytics plugin on it.
  2. You will comply with all rules and terms applicable to your Rust server, including those of Facepunch Studios and any server-hosting provider you use.
  3. You will disclose to your players that gameplay data from the server is collected and processed by PlayerAnalytics, including by linking to or summarizing our Privacy Policy where required by law.
  4. You will obtain any consents required under applicable law (including, where applicable, the GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and other privacy laws) before submitting personal data of your players to the Service.

You are solely responsible for your interactions with your players and for any disputes that arise on or about your server.

5. Subscriptions, Billing, and Cancellation

5.1 Plans and Pricing

PlayerAnalytics is offered on a per-server subscription basis. The current price, billing interval, and any free-trial period are displayed in the dashboard at the time of sign-up. Pricing may change; any change to your existing subscription will be communicated in advance and will take effect on your next billing cycle.

5.2 Free Trial

We may offer a free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid plan and you authorize us to charge the payment method on file.

5.3 Payment Processor

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. By providing payment information, you also agree to Stripe's terms. We do not store your full payment card details on our servers.

5.4 Per-Server Quantity

The number of servers you have connected determines your monthly charge. Adding a server increases your subscription quantity and may trigger an immediate prorated charge; removing a server decreases the quantity and may trigger a prorated credit. The minimum billable quantity is one (1) server while a subscription is active.

5.5 Auto-Renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You authorize us, through our payment processor, to charge your payment method on each renewal.

5.6 Cancellation

You may cancel at any time from the dashboard or via the Stripe Customer Portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the then-current billing period. After cancellation, paid features become unavailable, but historical data is retained subject to our Privacy Policy and data-retention practices.

5.7 Refunds

Except where required by law, all fees are non-refundable, including partial-month, unused, or unrecognized charges. We may, at our sole discretion, issue refunds or credits in cases of clear billing error.

5.8 Taxes

Listed prices do not include taxes. You are responsible for any sales, use, value-added, or similar taxes applicable to your purchase, except for taxes based on our net income.

5.9 Failed Payments

If a charge fails, we may suspend paid features until payment is received. Repeated failures may result in cancellation of your subscription and disconnection of your servers.

6. Data Collection and Privacy

Our collection and use of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you also consent to the practices described there.

The Rust server plugin transmits gameplay data (such as Steam IDs, in-game events, kill/death events, sessions, and inventory snapshots) from connected servers to PlayerAnalytics, where it is processed to power the Service's analytics, leaderboards, and Discord features. You should not connect a server, or invite players to a server, that you do not have the right to instrument in this way.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  1. Use the Service in violation of any law or any third party's rights.
  2. Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of any part of the Service, except where this restriction is prohibited by law.
  3. Access or attempt to access the Service by any means other than the interfaces and documentation we provide (no scraping, crawling, or automated extraction of data not exposed through our official API beyond reasonable, documented rate limits).
  4. Submit false, misleading, or manipulated data to the Service (including, without limitation, falsifying kill events, manipulating leaderboards, or attempting to influence ranking algorithms).
  5. Use the Service to harass, dox, stalk, or threaten any player or community.
  6. Attempt to circumvent any access control, rate limit, paywall, ban, or trial limit.
  7. Interfere with or disrupt the Service, our infrastructure, or any third-party network or service connected to the Service.
  8. Upload viruses, malware, or other harmful code, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, server, or system.
  9. Resell, sublicense, or otherwise commercially exploit the Service without our prior written consent.
  10. Use the Service to compete with PlayerAnalytics, including by building a substantially similar product.

We may investigate suspected violations and may suspend or terminate your access without notice for any violation.

8. User Content

"User Content" means any content you submit, upload, or display through the Service, including base/build entries, custom achievements, server descriptions, Discord configurations, profile fields, and uploaded images.

You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant PlayerAnalytics a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, and distribute your User Content solely as needed to operate, provide, and improve the Service.

You represent and warrant that you have all rights necessary to grant this license and that your User Content does not infringe any third-party rights or violate any law.

We may remove User Content that violates these Terms or that we otherwise reasonably consider objectionable.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including all software, design, graphics, text, logos, and trademarks (other than User Content and third-party marks), is owned by PlayerAnalytics or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for its intended purpose.

No rights are granted to you other than as expressly set forth in these Terms.

10. Third-Party Services and Trademarks

PlayerAnalytics integrates with third-party services including Steam (Valve Corporation), Discord (Discord Inc.), Stripe, and Cloudflare. Your use of those services through the Service is also subject to their respective terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services and do not endorse them.

PlayerAnalytics is an independent service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Facepunch Studios Ltd. or the Rust game. "Rust" and all related marks are trademarks of their respective owners. Steam, Discord, Stripe, and Cloudflare are trademarks of their respective owners. All references to these marks are for identification purposes only.

11. Beta and Experimental Features

We may label certain features as "beta," "preview," "experimental," or similar. Such features are provided as-is, may be unstable, may be changed or removed at any time, and are not subject to any service-level commitment.

12. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, in whole or in part, at any time and without notice if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, if required by law, or if continued provision of the Service to you would expose us to risk.

You may stop using the Service at any time. To delete your account, use the dashboard or contact support@playeranalytics.org.

Upon termination: (a) your right to access the Service ceases immediately; (b) provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive (including Sections 6, 8, 9, 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17) will survive.

13. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, ACCURATE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY DATA WILL NOT BE LOST.

ANALYTICS, RANKINGS, HEALTH SCORES, AND OTHER METRICS ARE PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY AND SHOULD NOT BE TREATED AS PROFESSIONAL ADVICE OR AS A SOLE BASIS FOR MODERATION OR BUSINESS DECISIONS.

14. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL PLAYERANALYTICS OR ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUES, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (a) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY, OR (b) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).

THE LIMITATIONS IN THIS SECTION APPLY EVEN IF A REMEDY FAILS OF ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages; in such jurisdictions our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

15. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless PlayerAnalytics and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your User Content; (c) your violation of these Terms; (d) your violation of any third-party right, including any intellectual-property or privacy right; or (e) any data you submit to the Service from a Rust server you operate.

16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and, to the extent state law applies, the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.

16.1 Informal Resolution

Before filing any claim, you agree to first contact us at support@playeranalytics.org and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.

16.2 Binding Arbitration

Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by a recognized arbitration provider under its then-current rules. Arbitration will be conducted in the English language. Judgment on the award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.

16.3 Class-Action Waiver

You and PlayerAnalytics agree to bring claims only on an individual basis and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, or representative proceeding.

16.4 Exceptions

Either party may bring an action in small-claims court for qualifying claims, or seek injunctive relief in court for the protection of intellectual-property rights, without first engaging in arbitration.

16.5 Opt-Out

You may opt out of Sections 16.2 and 16.3 by emailing support@playeranalytics.org within 30 days of first accepting these Terms, with the subject line "Arbitration Opt-Out" and including your account email.

17. Changes to the Service and to These Terms

We may modify or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will provide reasonable notice (for example, by email or by an in-dashboard notice) before it takes effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the updated Terms constitutes acceptance of those changes.
